Nevertheless, beneath all the gloss and extravagance, a harsh truth lurked. It was disheartening to learn that the industry, where I invested my life and career, contributed significantly to the environmentally destructive plastics ending up in our oceans each year. Guilt clenched my heart, and I sank into an existential crisis. Then, against the backdrop of the unforgettable year of 2020, an idea ignited within me, a lifeline that could potentially lead towards a solution.
I began to share my concerns and thoughts with my wife, whose encouragement and support became my mainstay in these challenging times. Together, we mulled over the idea of launching a hotel linen business. Yet, we yearned for it to be different – it had to be green, sustainable, and eco-friendly by introducing 100% organic top of bed collection and Plastic-free hotel amenities, first of its kind in North America. Our ambition extended beyond financial gain; we dreamt of becoming a green hotel supplier for North America and, hopefully, the globe.
